KrakówKraków is a safe and vibrant European city in Poland with a huge amount of history and culture, while also being very affordable for the average Western European or American tourist. It is often seen as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and its old town was recently listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; it therefore has a wide appeal to tourists.
Situated along the Vistula River, it is one of the oldest cities in Poland, dating back to the 7th century. Kraków is a prominent economic, social, academic and cultural hub of Poland. I visited Kraków for a weekend in September 2018 and I was blown away by the old town. It's seriously beautiful and the town square is the biggest I have ever seen in Europe. Charming bars and cafes are just bursting throughout the city, and the number of gelato shops rivals Florence or Rome (it's cheap too, one scoop was less than £1!). If you're looking at spending a weekend or longer in Kraków, see the links on the right. I've found useful info from all over the internet and collated it with my personal experiences into a one-stop-shop travel guide. Check out the links on the right for everything you need to know. |
